They have about a year to year and a half to decide whether to continue with tower construction.

Because, this is approximately the amount of time it should take them to complete the u/g parking floors.
Once they reach the street level, they will have to decide whether to ctoninue with tower construction or wait until they find some financial backing (unless they find it by then).

BTW, what are the metal boxes they are currently assembling over the ends of the grouted soil nails ?

Not really
But seriously, do these supports look solid to you?
Whenever I look at it, somehow it reminds of the Barzel underground parking lot that collapsed last year.
Similar looking columns which as it turned out weren't properly designed.

Preparetions for third phase are underway. The foundation drilling machine has been removed from the site while some equipments from Danya Cebus (the constructer of the third phase) have already brought in. I expect to see an installed crane in the coming weeks

The foundation drilling machine is back !

The are pouring dozens of trucks of soil, building a new ramp. This also explains why they mounted the black metal boxes on the edges of the soil nails.

Any idea why they do it?

Perhaps they were told that the previous ramp will be closed for some reason?
Maybe because of Red line works?

The planting of new ramp puzzles me a bit. At least from the underground floor plan I can see they must drill some more borings in the place where's the old ramp... (??)

Passed near the site today. The site looks completely abandoned. That's it? No Sarona Hotel in foreseeable future?

No machinery on site?
Or just no construction workers?

No machinery. They left only one tractor that looks like no one used it for quite a while. No workers on site. Seems like the site was abandoned abruptly, as if they ran away from something deadly. :runaway:
