Thankfully it'll only be a 4 lane rd, instead of 6, the plans have recently been revised. I really hope this means less of those trees will be cutThe Elifelt garden , seen on the map full with buildings instead.

The building has been fenced off. I think it's new but I'm not 100% sure (in 2015 streetview it wasn't fenced off. The question is whether it happened recently of a few years ago)

I'm not sure when exactly- but it has been fenced off for quite a while. This probably happened as part of the plan to widen Elifelet St more than due to any anticipated construction of the towers- over the last couple of years lots adjacent to the streets have been slowly cleared.The building has been fenced off.
