With the changing demographics, Texas will eventually go purple and then blue. But I think it will take several more election cycles, and it will happen only if and when ethnic and racial minorities, as well as young people, vote in much larger numbers than they do now. So it's difficult to predict the timing.

Hope springs eternal for the left. Texas will remain solid Red for a long, long time. And the GOP will retain a stranglehold at the state level.

It's going to stay Red.

Considering some dolt from Fredericksburg just proposed secession, I'm not expecting good things...
