The English are saying they're a chance - but this same talk was being made this time 4 years ago, and what happened then?!

Mind you, our team is very different now, with some once in a century players now retired... BUT we have only lost 2 home series in 20 years, and they haven't won here in 24.

May that continue, but it's going to be a belter all the same... BRING IT ON!

Hopefully Swann goes the way of just about every finger spinner playing in Aus (with Vettori as the exception). i.e. home with not many wickets at a high average.
^^ Nah - I think you are getting confused with the scoreline in the last Eng v Aus soccer match. In that case you got the score right, but winner wrong.
2-1 to Australia. Should be a close encounter.
3-1 Australia, beating us here is too hard for them, no matter how far we have slipped.
I assume the English team is coming out to Australia to party as per usual.
How many South Africans will be in the squad this time around? I think their new(ish) keeper is of that origin - name escapes me, but he's a hard hitting batsmen who bats high up the order.

EDIT: Craig Keiswetter, and he only plays ODI's and T20'S... Matt Prior (another Saffer!) is the Test keeper...
I think there are 4/5 South Africans in the England squad. It's a disgrace really, those pounds are worth more than rands, and loyalty is cheaply bought amongst that lot.

Ironic indeed with Mr Brightside from London telling me that I have a surprise coming with a South African as his profile picture.
^^ hehe, good pick up.
^^ Yeah - when I say "English team" I mean England and Wales made up of a majority of non-England/Wales players.

There is Pietersen and Trott in the England test squad are South Africans!i`m not including Strauss and Prior because they were brought up in England from the ages of six and 11. So 13 out of 16 are English! If wanna talk about it being a disgrace that that there are 2 South Africas in the England team then you need to look at the Aussie rugby team which has a shit load of players that were not born in Australia playing for the Aussies, they are showing real loyalty to their country of birth aren't they:lol:!you convicts need to get ur facts right!and i'm not from London mate i'm from Sheffield.

"Mate ya dream'in!
^^Is that the same kind of choking that we saw from the Aussie side against India the other day , your best bowlers can' t even bowl out their tail.
Agreed, the best bowlers the selectors put our there couldn't do it. Hilditch should be in the stocks for what he has done to Australian cricket in the last couple of years. Should still be good enough to beat England at home though, it's touring where we strugle.

You are vastly under estimating England here, England have not lost a series for a long time(any kind of series, one dayers, test matches ect...)!we drew with South Africa and India on their turf and they are very hard places to get results.
South Africa would have been like a home series for your players anyway. We usually do pretty well in South Africa as well, normally they win here, and then we win over there.
