Found this at SSP, the condo might not be as tall as the render but it's a decent height. It's by Camrost-Felcorp:

I can't recall, was this proposal replaced by another?

why else ;) - the city rejected it as being too high with too high a density and the OMB agreed with the city

^weirdest thing though - the OMB approved a development with a similar height (~24 storeys, ~85m) for the SE corner

^ Yes... Actually this was the first large scale development the OMB disapproved of in a very long time. It came as a shock! Even more shocking is within the next couple of months they approved a similar development directly acorss the street as valantino mentioned.

You can probably count the number of large condo developments the OMB has disapproved of in Toronto with just one hand. All of them within the last 3 years or so.

Doesn't the building on teh SE corner already exist, and is a black government building for some ministry? It has been there for years, i go by it everyday...or are we talking about some other SE corner and not the one at st. Claire and Avenue. Also, this is forest hill, there must have been a huge Nimby attack on the "Avenue" development on the SW.
