Think inner city vibe in a park-like setting. The Crossing is where the action will be. Restaurants, cafes and a range of retail shops will help to create a lively and upbeat environment, a real heart of Highbrook. For the thousands of people expected to work at Highbrook, and the 28,000* commuters who use Highbrook Drive daily, The Crossing will be the place to shop, relax or socialize with friends.

Customers already confirmed at The Crossing include:

*
Quest: 62 room service apartment building
*
NZ Post Shop and Kiwi Bank Branch
*
Westpac Retail Branch

The Crossing is attracting interest from a broad retail mix including:

*
Restaurants
*
Cafes and bars
*
Delicatessen
*
Gymnasium
*
Florist
*
Giftware store
*
Newsagent
*
Convenience retail

I presume that this is the Hotel component (7 floors):

Nice building, shame about the bland concrete. What is it with Kiwi's and this love affair for bland concrete?

I think the concrete is long-lasting. Timeless. So, enjoy it. Concrete and dark green/ blue glass. With the occasional fins. Thats Auckland architecture. Grey concrete and dark green/ blue glass.

New render - notice the new tall building in the background (left) ... and a new building on the right hand side.

Nice place, just not very urban. I feel Highbrook could have been utilised better as a residential development with the beautiful waterfront.
