I think I have the right building. The tall modernist one with the unusual lifts inside.

Does anybody have any photos or movies of the lifts in action? I know it has a special name; I'm talking about the one that has no doord and moves in a constant loop.

Sorry to be vague. Cheers!

Well, just to correct you, I am sure you're talking about the ARTS tower and its paternoster lifts.
You'll find a big thread about it on our first page

Paternoster is latin for "our father"

I understand that the paternoster lift passenger cells on their continuous loop would in some way remind a catholic of his or her rosary beads. And one of their regular pennance prayers would begin with the words "our father". I don't know if this is the true origin of the paternoster title, but it is what I suppose.
