Just watched the coverage of the Great Manchester Run on BB2!

What a wonderful event this has turned out to be. Not only does it showcase the city, but more importantly it brings so many people together with so many stories and worthwhile causes!

This led me to think about doing the run next year with my fellow Manc forum members! :)

Not only is it a good excuse to meet up, but we can raise some money for a good cause!

So who wants to do it? :)

<------------------Shit at cross country...

Great stuff anyway :)
I take it your in then Accura?

Shit at Cross Country or not!

Its flat, mate!
Its funny you have mentioned that, because im going to do it next year,,,that coverage was excellent,,,and did you hear Brendan Foster say "the amount of developments in Manchester at the moment is unbelievable" your not wrong mate :)
I did it last year and would be happy to do it again next. You have to be on the ball about knowing when to apply though, that's why I missed out this time.
So thats 3 then!

Anymore takers!

Reckon we could get 10 to 15 if everyone turned out?
Arf, now its 4!

We can apply as a group and get enough application forms that way!
I am built for long distance running and used to be quite good but in the past few years I've developed asthma (the dirty Manchester air maybe?)and now I can't do it anymore. :( I only cycle these days. But I'd be there taking photos of you lot. ;)

Maybe we should do a group cycle around Manc then shortly afterwards. Like a Paraolympics kinda thing...
Caw!

Can you walk?

If not, we'll push you around the circuit, as long as you build a decent a bogey kart! :)

Washing day on Gorsey Bank Estate. Old pram wheels in the foreground are a little boys dream for constructing a go-kart or 'bogey'.

I often walk upto 10 miles at once around Manchester taking photos! But running, no stamina! The lungs can't handle it!

Though the offer of a kart is appealing.
I could convert my bike into a pully thing cos I dont need it anymore. My grandparents bought me a moped for college lol.
Here it is, in the shadow of my local supertalls:

We'll wait for you Caw!

Its only 10k, so theres no rush!

Are you in that man?
Well it's only 10k but I don't think it's happening jrb, sorry! The thought of merely walking when everyone is running/jogging it, I dunno........

I'll sponsor you all but I'm a student so don't expect too much. ;)
You need an incentive Caw!

Seeing as your a student, why don't you hand out flyers around the course?

That should get you through!
If it's 'sponsored toke a bong', count me in.
I did the run yesterday and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will certainly do it next year, and caw you can walk because my girlfriend walked with loads of other people.
