Africa’s tallest skyscraper - and one of the most exclusive hotels in Sandton, The Leonardo - finally opened its doors on Tuesday, with developers of the 234-metre tall building saying the 240-suite hotel and residences were ready for occupation.

Legacy Hotels & Resorts CEO & Chairman Bart Dorrestein said all the offices in The Leonardo are purchased and 90% of the apartments are sold.
"Our owners are scheduled to take occupation on a phased basis commencing March 2020," he said.

Joburg forum is boring now that this is complete, whens the next tall one?
We another 2-3 Leonardo height buildings in Sandton to start building a real skyline. Although my hope is for a greater regeneration in the CBD as well.
