This is a fairly recent aerial of the Stone Oak area.

Comparions:

1995:
http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=29.617581~-98.491787&style=a&lvl=15

2003:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=San+Antonio,+TX&ll=29.615289,-98.491788&spn=0.01858,0.043259&t=k&om=0

The growth in that area in the last two-three years is incrdible alone.

Stone Oak is being dubbed San Antonio's future second major medical center maybe even one day surpassing the current medical center.

Not pictured but to the lower right right a new Methodist hospital is under construction at Sonterra Blvd. and Hardy Oak Blvd.

For those wondering why there is not a single development to the left of Blanco Rd. north of Huebner Rd. on the left side of the picture, that is Camp Bullis Military Reservation. Camp Bullis is huge, seriously. North to south its 9 miles east to west its 6 miles.

Notice the construction along 1604.

I'm telling you, the north arch of 1604 and 1694 on the westside will look so different within 5 years, its not een funny.

The city and Txdot seriously need to start getting the expansion of 1604 underway now. 8 Lanes both ways from Redland Rd. to 90.
