the by results of being low lying countries are those canals and windmills which have become a sort of a symbol specially for Netherlands.
BTW, I love those old buildings and the sleek and simple but elegant glass towers.

They are among my favourites. The towers are named Delftse Poort.

Lijnbaan. The area where I was staying.









The magnificent new De Rotterdam building by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas seen next to the iconic Erasmusbrug (Erasmus Bridge).



I saw these 4 huge buildings while on the Waterbus boat to Kinderdijk.

Sorry for not taking many pictures of Rotterdam. I simply didn't have time on my schedule. I might visit Rotterdam again in October and hopefully then, I will have some more pictures. :)

Hey melrocks50, great photo's. Nice to see you visited Holland, like especialy the photo's from Edam, Delft and the new station from Rotterdam. :)
