Well, I am not sure who are more patriotic: those who came to the US legally because they respected and obeyed its laws or those who broke its laws by sneaking into it and are now blatantly stating their unlawful presence. If all it takes for someone to enter this country illegally and automatically become its citizen is wave American flags, then I can assure you that more than half of the world would be willing to do that.

how many third worlders of poor life are able to become american respecting and obeying US laws??? Next to zero. US will give easier VISAS to rich third worlders or to Europeans.
this american flag-waving is sooooo staged. At least the organizers are getting hip to the reactions among Americans. In the LA protests there were plenty of anti-american inflammatory signs.

this one won't go down well in Mayberry

Were you implying that the picture posted was in LA? That looks like Dallas in the background. There are always a few who take the demonstrating a bit too far and seek to offend people.

I think that the (european americans needs them just as much as they need you folks)
WTF? They are here iiiiiiiiillllllllllleeeeeeeeeggggggaaaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyyyyy. Everyone of them should be exported back to their native country. Millions of people have to wait years for their Visas to come here legally and these illegal assholes are protesting. Why the US government isn't rounding them up and sending them back is beyond me. Here you have hundreds of thousands of illegalls showing their ugly faces for the first time and expecting and demanding something from the US Government. In my opinion they don't even have the right to protest.

There is just one thing I want to say. There are quite a lot of Europeans, Africans, Asians and CANADIANS that overstay their visas (equally as illegal). Just because they don't put their faces out there (smart thinking if you don't want to be deported) doesn't mean they don't exist in LARGE quantities.

The ones who have a chance to get visas and enter the country legaly are those from the middle and upper classes, the poors have very little chance to get them, those who needs visa the most (the poor ones) can't wereas those who already have a decent standard of living in their home country can get them much more easily.

If those who risk their lives to cross the border illegaly had a chance to enter the country legally, believe me, they would.

I think most Americans share your sentiment. The problem is, that our government (Republican or Democrat) is full of gutless cowards who will not act on there concience.

You do mean "act on their concience", seriously something is wrong with America you dont even speak your native language correctly. And really Gary do you seriously believe that leaders of such an important nation such as USA can act completely on their coinciense, the real world doesnt work that way, im afraid.

Fact is...When these protesters make signs like the once with "Che" they are asking for civil backlash against the idea of support. Americans who are here now, many are families who came the US via boat and walked thru Ellis island, others became American the day we won our indepenece from Great Britain. American families have the right to question this whole deal. Americans have sacrificed generations to keep the nation safe, while the nation processed it's new members correctly, not by cheating their way in.

time will tell, but I'm sure the president will get pushed into a corner on this one...and forced to make some changes.

You just destroyed your whole point. Yes I mistyped the word "conscience" but what makes your post more than funny is, after insulting my inteligence you mispelled it to. Get off your elitist pedestal, your not very good at it!

On a more serious note... To make a statement like "the real world doesn't work that way" is ludicrous. I'm 40 years old and the world did work that way in the past (at least in America). I see the problem as people who view our current situation as you do.

Are we supposed to just conform to the way society has become? Are we to do nothing to better ourselves? Are we to continue allowing politicians to behave as they do now? Of course not!!!

This is the United States of America, and we are a true democracy. We have the power to vote one who is dishonest out of office, and then vote one that is honest into office.

According to law, those people were wrong in the first place. However, this is a tricky buisness.........
Its hard for a poor person from a country such as Mexico to get a visa and become a citizen, this is good. We must keep our countrys standard of living high and our populas in a high income bracket..if you ask me. Although the cheap labor is good for us..damn.
Come legal or don't come at all. It's hypocritical of someone to campaign for people like this to be able to stay in the name of "morals" and "the right thing" when there are PLENTY of people in Africa, Asia, etc who would like this opportunity also, but they can't just hop the border like Mexicans.
