As with all AHMM projects they certainly know how to do good interiors. The buildings 'ok' and far better than the concrete bunker it replaced.
I'm glad that is better than what it replaced! It least it has one redeeming feature!
When I looked on streetview for this the shot dated March 2017 has the Shroud of Death over 1 New Oxford Street:

Jesus christ I was going to ask what the original site was but that really is dystopian
Certainly am improvement, but pretty disappointing.

That hoarding looks gigantic. They must really detest explorers
Massive improvement.
How is this a "Massive improvement", it looked bad before and will still look terrible after the redesign.....
As much as you don't like the new design, you can't seriously argue the new building is as crap as the one before? The original literally looks abandoned
Can't see whats wrong with it. Looks like it will be a nice high quality contemporary block and vast improvement to the abandoned hulk it replaces.

I agree - really nice building with good detailing.
Why do all Travelodges look shit. Is their brief to Architects to design a building with absolutely no Architectural merit, whatsoever?

The real gem in this area is One New Oxford Street, which is one of, if not the best refurbishment I've ever seen in London.
