A few kilometres from the entrance to Postojna cave stands one of the most picturesque buildings in the whole of Slovenia. Predjama Castle hangs dramatically in the middle of a 123 metre cliff – a four storey structure almost arrogant in its simplicity, but unconquered and uncompromising. Although the current building dates from the end of the 16th century, a castle has stood on this site since the year 1201.

Now that's interesting!

Reminds me a lot of this Middle Eastern temple that was carved into the canyon, forgot the name of it.
