A friend of mine has just come back of a trip of one week to the most austral city in the world, Ushuaia, and he had the kindness to take some photos specially for this forum. These are the first exclusive photos of Ushuaia for SSC, they were not "stolen" of any place, as the previous ones that they have seen.

The first thing that he noticed arriving to the city, is that he was one of the very few Argentine there. See the check-in book of the hostel:

Some images of the "downtown":

Observe these horrible wires... They ruin the pristine landscape :eek:hno:

Going out of the downtown, going towards the suburbs of Ushuaia...

We continue the walk, and now we go to the seaport:

From there, a few sights to the city in Ushuaia's Bay:

And to say goodbye, some views of the surroundings of the city:

Thanks Pablo, for so magnificent photos! :applause::applause:

And for those that dont know where Ushuaia is, here they have a map:

Cool! I'm going to Argentina in July and want to go to Ushuaia too (yes I know it will be in the middle of winter). How do you get there? What airline do you fly and how much are tickets?

The ticket Buenos Aires-Ushuaia costs 600 Argentine pesos (US$ 200) RIGTH NOW ... in the middle of the winter it will be a bit more expensive, probably US$250, because of the winter season

The downtown looks rather shitty from the pictures. However the landscape is awesome and the wooden houses are nice too.
