I hope I found the right forum...or should I have posted this in the skybar?

Next week I´ll travel to Atlanta. I´ve got a few days of free time there and would like to know which sights you would recommend...tell me something about the Atlanta region, guys! :)

Thanks.

Some ideas for you....

*Georgia Aquarium, the largest in the world.
*CNN Center...take the news tour!
*Centennial Olympic Park, right between the Georgia Aquarium and CNN.
*Ride to the top of the 70+ story Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel...great views!
*Visit Piedmont Park for amazing people-watching!
*Don't miss the High Museum of Art...stunning building, nice collection.
*The Cyclorama is fascinating...a unique part of Atlanta's history.
*Tour the Fox Theatre...pure magic!
*Stone Mountain Park offers loads of outdoor fun.
*If you love roller coasters, try Six Flags Over Georgia.
*The World of Coke and Underground Atlanta can be fun..sorta cheesy, though!
*Shop in Buckhead, especially Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza.
*Eat at one of Atlanta's many great restaurants...I would recommend Bacchanalia, Rathbun's, Watershed, or Mid-City Cuisine.
*Visit Little Five Points for a walk on the "bohemian" side.
*Virginia-Highland and Atlantic Station also offer some good, "non-mall" shopping.
*Most importantly, have a walk in one of the city's beautiful neighborhoods, such as Ansley Park, Inman Park, Virginia-Highland, or Midtown. Atlanta's neighborhoods really define its charm, and it's a side most tourists never see.

Have fun!

A few that I forgot!

*MLK Center
*Carter Center
*Catch a Braves game at the Ted if they're in town!

Atlanta is quite the city! Lots of restaurants and fun filled things to see and do in the city. It's definitely the black mecca w/ a large prominence of hip- hop culture!
