Center to left is the new addition to the Thomas Pattullo building, basement and structure to level 1 complete, the existing building is to the extreme left which will be refurbed in traditional Giorgio bros. fashion (tinted flush glazing)

Because it is on the Foreshore it is subject to the Foreshore Development Guidelines which stipulates a height restriction which I understand to be 24m which would indicate that they have obtained a departure to go slightly higher.

So it flies in the face of the City calling for densification of the CBD (including foreshore which is the crown jewels of the city). Its a waste of prime developmnet areas and does this mean all the pother proposals we have seen for the foreshore area are also not going to happen?

Different parts of the foreshore have different height restrictions and Council could vary the restrictions. The major development area is Culembourg and as that would require rezoning, and may fall out of the area regulated by the Foreshore Guidelines, it would probably have different parameters, hopefully a C5 or C6 zoning

Thomas Pattullo should be restricted to 24.08m but would say it is topping out at 30m to 32m

The strip closest to the elevated free way allows for height of 66m
