How do you want BiH to develope its settlements, facilities and infrastructure in the future, technologicly and estheticly? What is important for the nation? This thread is dedicated to discussing the future and what is and what is not desirable and needed.

I would be most happy to see illustrations if you have some to share. Ive actually drawn a bridge envisioned for Sarajevo, and a whole office block. I have many more ideas, which ive not drawn. Sufficient to add i will be looking to scan the drawing tomorrow and upload it, maybe after some photoshoping.

Whilst building with tomorrow in mind, modern and stylisticly pure design implementations, I would also seek for incorporation of Bosnias older architechture styles as well as a reflection of its spectacular landscapes. So that it emits a goahead spirit to people.

Different places have different wishes and needs, naturally, but in general one would seek to effectivize movement and availability to social as well as economical (production and services) resources. Connection between cities and to other nations are important, but maybe even more so how localities threat their natural resources, water, environment, wildlife and such. It should be a factor considered. Ecoducts and other innovations are thus very useful, as well as making sure the environment stays clean, something many Bosnian towns do very well. And that the natures reality of the location is recognized eco-usage wise.

I want it to raise the standards in the area and want the localities to have the last word about what they need. But I also want it to look good and reflect awareness of its impact on the nature and be done in a way minimizing it. Since times change things its of course not expedient to seek some absolute way.

This above are just some of my points and thoughts I think should be taken into consideration for future developments in Bosnia.

I wonder what other Bosnians would want to see and what they deem most important for Bosnia in the nearest future. Do you want something specific done? Maybe you have an illustration? Post it.

Infrastructure is one of the most important issue for developing the economy.
This country needs modern motor and railways.
"Connecting people" isn't just a slogan chosen accidently by Nokia for instance.

The developement of the VC motorway goes too slowly.

I see no connection of the Una-Sana-Canton to this motorway for e.g. - this canton has to be connected also to the croatian motorways and to the railway-net.

Yes, it provides a lot of possibilities. But basicly wealth, economical wealth, is the production and innovation of services and products which raise the standards in a place and can be exchanged with products and innovations from other place (this is not exactly how it works today since we have a fraudalent banking system... but basicly, we dont need to get into that here).

Motorways do make it easier to exchange products and basicly makes everything more effective.

I agree highway network is very much needed! It is pain in the arse when i have to travel e.g. 4h 250km from BL to SA. And from SA everything is too far coz the roads are old, congested and narrow.
So we need HIGHWAYS. BiH is small country with good motorway network you could be everywhere in 2-3h.

And there will be (future tense) connection via Banjaluka, Novi and Priijedor.

23. Kongres studenata elektrotehnike Evrope

Učesnici kongresa će prvih pet dana boraviti u Beogradu, a zatim pet dana u Sarajevu.

Ovo je odličan način da se lokalni komiteti još bolje povežu, a Kongres će dobiti novu dimenziju u vidu spajanja dviju kultura, iako lokalni komiteti Sarajevo i Beograd imaju već duže dobru saradnju.

Pored radnog i edukativnog dijela, studenti će upoznati znamenitosti i kulturu gradova u kojima će boraviti. Bit će organiziran City Rally Sarajevo na kojem će učesnici, podijeljeni u timove, obavljati zanimljive zadatke.

I think that the idea of joining the EU whilst it has short term benefits, for certain, it needs to be considered the long-term cons given the developments of the EU. More precisely risking less self-determination.

What may today be a benefit, might tomorrow become a drawback. I do believe in regional cooperation and forum, I believe that the basic idea of the EU is good. But I do not think it is beneficial to be entangled in too many obligations. Basicly my point is that a sense of critical view of this would not hurt.

We all want the economy to work in a way to ensure good standards in society.
