Exterro to double its employee strength in India


The US-based SaaS company has a research and development centre in Coimbatore

US-based SaaS company Exterro, which has a research and development centre in Coimbatore, plans to expand its operations in Tamil Nadu.
Bobby Balachandran, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Exterro, told The Hindu on Friday that the Portland-based company had 300 people working at its Coimbatore centre. It planned to expand operations to places such as Tirunelveli or Chennai and double the employee strength in India in the next 12 to 15 months.

Good to see that Syntel is going strong. But in my opinion still we lack in IT. The SEZ is still having empty spaces which are yet to be occupied. Madurai has its 2 SEZ almost occupied completely. Access healthcare in Madurai SEZ was initially planned for Tirunelveli SEZ along with syntel but for some reasons they shifted to Madurai SEZ.

While private IT park is occupied completely , the ELCOT IT park in gangaikondan is still yeti to be occupied completely. This shows that there is a serious problem in the location ( gangaikondan ). May be gangaikondan is suitable for industries but not for building IT parks

we need TIDEL park within city Limits.

I think the point we are discussing is about the IT park building and not with the land available. Unless syntel, no other MNC shows interest to buy lands. HCL owner visited the place long back but he preferred to opened in Madurai rather than Tirunelveli. In the official ELCOT website it is said that Sutherland bought 10 acres of land but they never construct or opened anything there.

if we have mini Tidel park inside the city limits , it will be a full building with office spaces where even small companies can occupy from 20 seats itself with less cost. So there is more probability of the spaces Getting filled like TILICONVELI IT park.

There are 12 acres of land allotted to Sutherland and Deccan services private limited but there are no signs of construction. May be if they are not really allocated to these companies

Can anyone explain what this means ? It is said that government of tamilnadu is going to use it for infrastructural projects. I don’t understand

Yes it is mainly due to the location. Government really don’t care about the existing IT park. They only use it for election manifesto.

So now we have 3 Global development centers in tirunelveli.
1. Atos syntel - gangaikondan
2. 3infotech - Tiliconveli
3. Novigo - ELCOT IT PARK

Long way to go Tirunelveli 💪🏻

1. Highland Valley corporation (Upcoming IT park with 6000+ Jobs
2. Elcot IT Park- Novigo started Global center of Excellence
3. Plug and Play facility to improve the Occupancy in ELCOT IT Park
4. Tiliconveli Tech Park is full..(It is not shown in the revenue.. See last 2 years we are growing in the revenue)

we are in Beginner stage once kickstarted' no one stops the IT Growth..

I really hope high valley land corporation will pick up faster than all the government IT parks. Private IT parks are picking up really faster
