If these figures are accurate, the number that suprises me the most is the Pure Spirit Living condo at 85%(Distillery District). Although there has been a lot of build up and speculation on this site for quite some time.

I imagine some buyers who are investors may be positioning themselves for the long term gentrification of the Portlands?

I'm looking forward to seeing Pure Spirit rise from the distillery district. I think the buyers are looking forward to the West Don lands, not the portlands more than anything.

Now the Western Side.

(I posted this on UT, as well).

---

Click Here for Article of Sales Figures and construction status

Toronto Star - Western downtown brimming with projects

What I find interesting....

Festival Tower - Construction Starts this fall?

Zen Lofts - Completed and only 60% sold?

Ritz - 60% sold. Construction Starts this fall.

Trump Tower- Ony one to have undisclosed sales figures

Uptown Residences - 30% sold. I am suprised they disclosed. I building is huge and there are a lot of units, but 30% is 30%. Not enough value for the price.

Glas- Last article a few months back they posted sales at 40%, now it is at 43%. There are not a whole lot of units here, so that translates to just a unit or two sold over that period. Sales here are slow.

some of thes figures are a bit outdated but are informative regardless.infinity numbers surprised me but they make sense since they have moved the sales office and are going to start selling phase 2 soon.

That's over 16,500 units just for downtown, and it doesn't include anything north of Bloor, west of Bathurst or any sold out buildings. The residential population of downtown just keeps getting bigger. That can't be a bad thing.

And with four or five new commercial towers and MaRS there should be employment for all the new DT residents. :)

Looks like pretty much almost everything is a sure thing for downtown except Trump and the Uptown. I'm not worried about any of the smaller projects like Glas since most smaller projects with good marketing have good track records and they will most likely eventually get built. But it's kinda discouraging that Trump's sales figures have been left "undisclosed" even though they are hoping for a "summer construction date"? Just hope that Festival Tower can finally start sales this time around after years of stalling. Even though the Uptown has been slow so far, I am however sort of optimistic about its chances of getting built, Pemberton has always stayed with their less than attractive projects and have been in sales for a long time before they can break ground (ie. Pulse and Port Royal Place). Other than that, most of downtown's major projects look like they will get built for sure. :)

Thanks rbt, I also noticed that in their (MLS) advertising that they are using the term 54 stories. Oh well, I was hoping that they would add more especially since this has been such a 'hot' project
