TriBeCa?

Hey, another apartment hunting question. One of my roomates next year, who's working downtown, wants to look in TriBeCa as well as SoHo/NoHo/West Village. My question is this: how long of a commute by subway can I expect to get to 57th between 5th & 6th?

I really don't want to be that far south, but anyway...

Looks like you would take the 1/9 at Franklin street/Varick street to 14 street/7 avenue and transfer to the F train there where you'll take it to the 57 street/6 avenue stop.

I'd predict it's around a 40-45 minute commute. That's just a guess though.
Why not just on the C or E at Chambers and you can be in Columbus Circle in about 20 minutes?
i think loki pointed out a good commute 1/9 is too local try the c then transfer at 59th

maybe its just me..I always hated the one because of the skip stop
1/9 would bring him closer to where he wants to go, but lokinyc's right, C/E sounds like the better option if you don't mind some walking.
on a side note....come may the 9 will be gone!

See, there's no fucking chance in hell I'm doing that.

My threshold for commuting one way is 20 minutes.
