Continuing my tour of Kawagoe's warehouse district, Kashiya Yokocho is a shopping street for traditional Japanese candy.

These are not baguettes, but a hard bread made of brown sugar.

I couldn't help but get a little snack myself. These flour balls taste bland except for the salty sauce on top.

Historic lowrise buildings line the main street in the warehouse district.

The fire-watching tower stood well above everyone else during the Edo period.

I suppose under-aged kids are disciplined enough not to buy cigarettes from these vending machines.

Beautiful photos, the weather looks delightful, as does the historical quarter that looks immaculately conserved.
Those candies look tempting. ;)
