^^ ???

In other news, the Courier Mail's Prime Site included a little bit about The Annex.

THE hoarding and scaffolding have been taken down and Dexus’ The Annex boutique office building at 12 Creek St will soon officially open its doors.

The ASX-listed property giant usually keeps things pretty quiet and there has been only one tenant announced hip restaurant Comuna Cantina on the ground floor.

But we hear there are only a couple of floors not yet spoken for in the 7200sq m office component of the building.

We understand that McConaghy Properties, which is currently at 10 Eagle St, Hudson Specialist Recruitment and coworking group Victory Office will take up about six floors of the 12-level building.

Cameras on each lift.

I've generally expected BVN to move into the building to, maybe not.

You can see a little black rectangle next to each lift (on the other side of the larger thing). You can also see what looks to be a red light at the top of those.

Those look a lot like ID card readers to me (the kind where you tap to activate and it will allow you to access the elevators).

^^ Are they cameras or light lift arrival lights?
Cameras, the arrival lights are to the top left of the door (white strips).

There's a lot a security going on here, maybe there's an unannounced tenant that requires it.

Long time lurker first time poster. The Development Team responsible for The Annex has enjoyed your interest in our new building and your great photos (some of which we've used for our internal comms as they were better than the ones we had taken). We're very proud of how it has come up and for a little building we think it punches well above its weight.

I've included some photos of the interiors. The first photo is of one of the two internal fire stairs. Given it is a small building we applied additional finishes so that it can be used as an inter floor stair

The second photo shows the operable windows in the facade highlighted by the bronze glass. These windows are in response to the BCC Buildings that Breath principles. The windows are intended to be part of a meeting room in the fitouts so that the areas can be isolated from the main parts of the floor and not affect the air conditioning.

The laneway is currently only partially complete with the works being widened across the full width once the design of the Corbett Chambers side is finalised.

I'll dig out some more photos of the level 11 Terrace and the level 12 space (curved space above the terrace) which is quite interesting.

I don't have any completed photos of levels 11 and 12 to hand. Here's a few shots of those areas under construction

This image is from level 12 looking south down Elizabeth Street. The building is built to the boundary and you get really unique views straight up both Elizabeth and Creek

From looking at that last photo of the elevators its clear that the developers of this building are taking security seriously (as they should in any modern office building). You can see its got CCTV cameras above the lifts as well as card readers next to the elevator. And the big panels right next to the elevator look a lot like an Otis Compass destination dispatch system (although I would be surprised if its worth installing such a system in a building with only 12 floors and only 3 elevators)
