Is it going to be public/ semi-public or private? This is really good for that area.
Its Private(ngo) initiative if you will; that has partnered with both local and international players with government assistance to promote healthcare in rural Kenya.

Matibabu, an indigenous health initiative in Western Kenya, is well-poised to partner with otA volunteer at Matibabu Kenya
her agencies aiming to impact health in Kenya.

Matibabu is committed to improving access to quality, integrated health services in Ugenya by strengthening existing relationships and establishing new relationships with service providers and partners.
We rely on supportive partners and smart processes (from the TA we received in conjunction with our PEPFAR grant) to run our business in an efficient and affordable manner.Likewise, we also aim to provide our partners with the support they need to serve their patients affordably, effectively and adequately.
Matibabu has strong organizational systems, staff management skills and M&E programs in place to enable dynamic growth and to ensure organizational reliability, accountability and transparency.
As the voice of the community, Matibabu is well positioned to communicate the health needs of the district to our partners and to explain and promote partner-sponsored initiatives to the people of Ugenya.
We enjoy the trust and respect of the people of Ugenya District.
We are perceived as real change-agents in the communities we serve.
Matibabu is well-positioned to partner with other agencies and organizations wanting to impact the health and welfare of underserved communities in Western Kenya.

We are also committed to strengthening existing partner relationships to improving access to quality, integrated health services throughout the district.

Through partnerships with organizations like Ministry of Health (MOH),Tiba Foundation, John Snow Inc (JSI), CDC, KEMRI, NASCOP, National AIDS Control Council (NACC), AMREF, Local Universities, Ugenya and Siaya District Health Stakeholders Fora, Health NGOs Network (HENNET), Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium (KANCO), Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Constituency AIDS Control Council (CACC), Kenya Red Cross and other important health care organizations and initiatives, we’re able to offer sustainable health care programs as well as integrated community-based health and development services. Get Involved: Partner with us in creating a health, productive and properous society in Western Kenya.
