Just wanted to post a few projects that aren't getting as much hype as the larger and/or taller projects, but I consider these to be nice midrise infill projects throughout Uptown and South End:

Royal Court (11-story condo midrise just outside I-277):

1200 South Boulevard (15-story mixed-use project in South End):

Citiline Gateway-Area Development (11-story mixed-use project in Fourth Ward):

Ashton South End (11-story condo midrise in South End):

These are the kinds of midrise projects currently under way in Charlotte, but they're never really mentioned because they're overshadowed by things like Wachovia, Bank of America, the Ritz, Epicentre, NASCAR HOF, and recently Trump. But I think these are some pretty neat projects that will definitely add to Charlotte's Center City...so why not post 'em so you guys can see a bit more of what's going on in Charlotte?

Here is a webcam for Royal Court, to show its progress and its location in relationship to Uptown:

Note the construction visible in the background. From left to right: Bank of America Stadium scoreboard renovation; Wachovia office tower; Catalyst condo tower; NASCAR HOF tower
Here's a webcam for Ashton South End, to show its progress. This angle faces away from Uptown though:

You can see the light rail tracks to the very left of the view.
The Garrison at Graham (midrise condo project):

These types of midrise projects are very important and often underrated projects..

:weirdo:
If you go a little further out, you get entire neighborhoods being built from scratch, like Morningside Village, City Park, etc.

^That was next on my list to post. I haven't even mentioned the lowrise stuff.

By the way, that condo project 'the silos south end' appears to be getting under way. Lots of activity at that site today.
Excellent, excellent thread. I see so many projects going up over in the Southend/Dillworth area and I can never figure out which is which. The activity over there is really taking off.

I rode by the Midtown project recently and the greenway itself is actually starting to take shape. I was surprised to see the "green" area actually in place, ha!!! However, a question for folks about the Midtown project though. I was under the impression that there would be shops and/or resturants along the greenway, or at least facing it. When I rode by there, I didn't really see where that would be possible. And the rendering posted here doesn't really appear to show that type of development on the greenway either.

Wow, I never knew about this project and it gives off a creepy feeling as its architecture goes along with the cemetery.
SouthHaus is going to be killer. I'm having a bit of a hard time imagining it at that corner, though. It, along with the Silos at SouthEnd, will help to create a "gateway to SouthEnd" effect.

Don't worry there will be shops and a massive fountain along the greenway
