Unique powerline support structure near Cape Town

On http://www.inmr.com/2013/08/best-transmission-structure-can-sometimes-be-none-at-all/ you can see a picture of a very unusual powerline support structure near Cape Town. Where is this object exactly situated? To which powerlines does it belong? When was it built?

It looks like it's climbing up the mountainside near Somerset West/Sir Lowry's Pass.
Yes, mountainside near Somerset West/Sir Lowry's Pass. In my opinion they are the power transmission lines from the Palmiet Pumped Storage Scheme (Kogelberg Dam). After some Google Earthing I think the location of the photograph is -34.150214,18.926471
