Stanley Dock, which links the Leeds-Liverpool canal with the River Mersey, was designed by Albert Dock mastermind Jessie Hartley and constructed between 1850-1857.

I know exactly what you mean steppenwolf but you'd need a lot more than a week. For me, Spring and Summer 1939 as long as I could get back to my time when I wanted/needed to. :)

Bankside Power Station is in the borough of Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames, and is under construction in this aerial photo from March 1952. The western part of the station, chimney and jetty is nearing completion next to the old power station. The underground oil tanks are to the south of the new building.
