A few new-ish places in Jersey City:

Cheesecake Factory in Newport Mall, packed the day before Christmas

Burger Eatery, new burger place on 1st across from Torico

BWE Kafe in Newport - I'm not in Newport enough so I don't know if it's really new

Beechwood Cafe in Liberty Harbor North

The old Powerhouse Lounge and the corner store that briefly had a Favia pizza both have covering over the windows

Jersey City Fish Stand - recently open on 508 Jersey Ave

H2O Aquarium becoming a "Chinese Hot Spot" (Chinese hot pot?) restaurant

Seven Sheep Coffee - little coffee shop on 7th Street

New restaurant under construction on 10th

I should probably walk into more of these places like Nexis. I did go into Burger Eatery though

(I did eat some of the fries on the way...)

Park & Sixth Gastropub in Jersey City became The Draper - a bit loungier. Well, there is a lounge section in the back and a pool table downstairs. The food isn't much different than before - the burger I had was similar to the one at the other Park&Sixth location

Miso Ramen - this was before it opened, so a couple weeks ago

Nice interior

H2O Aquarium also being converted to a restaurant

Not as far along yet

The Citizen was undergoing some interior remodeling when I was there two weeks ago - they said they were expanding the bar and redoing the space - probably done with that by now

Greene Hook - I guess this place has been open for a few months now? Doesn't really have a sign, so it's a bit hard to find.
