Vancouver Altered: A Group Photography Exhibit is having its opening celebration August 6th from 5-8pm at On The Rise Artist Collective, 2231 Granville St., Vancouver Altered will be showing until August 30th

As Metro Vancouver prepares to enter the international stage for the 2010 Olympics, it is important that as a community we are reflective about the impact of this upcoming event by considering the meanings behind cities as changing spaces. It is through media such as photography that moments can be captured to reflect on the history, progress and adaptations that define Metro Vancouver.

On The Rise is excited to be holding our first photography exhibit. A group of talented artists will be showcased to reflect on these concepts of urban change.

Vancouver Altered creates a unique opportunity for art patrons to support local artists while engaging in an important narrative about their community.

Join us at On The Rise to celebrate the opening of Vancouver Altered: A Group Photography Exhibit August 6th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm to view works by such contributing artists as Andrew M. Firestone, Fiona Howarth and Daniel deReget.
