The Temple of Divine Providence (Polish: Świątynia Opatrzności Bożej), in southern Warsaw's Wilanów district, is one of the most important Roman Catholic buildings in Poland.

Two days after the Four-Year Sejm had passed the 3 May Constitution, on 5 May 1791, the members and the king made a commitment of thanksgiving to erect a church "ex voto of all estates ... dedicated to the highest Providence."

The Temple was to be built in the classicist style on the plan of a Greek cross. However, the Russian army attacked Poland, making construction impossible. Three years later Poland disappeared from the maps of Europe. Only a small ruined chapel, in the Botanical Garden in Agrykola (Ujazdów), survived.

After Poland regained independence in 1918 the Sejm of the restored Second Polish Republic passed an act to build the shrine on 17 March 1921

What was stopped by partitions of Poland and 2nd World War, was achieved in free Poland

Temple was built in Miasteczko Wilanow, housing project for over 40 000 people in Wilanow district.

It's located near Wilanow Palace, built for the Victor of Battle of Vienna against Ottoman Empire- king Jan III Sobieski

Fabryka Polleny (Pollena was company producing comsetics during commie times in Poland)

Battle of Warsaw museum in Ossów.

The Battle of Warsaw refers to the decisive Polish victory in 1920 during the Polish–Soviet War. Poland, on the verge of total defeat, repulsed and defeated the invading Red Army.

The defeat crippled the Red Army; Vladimir Lenin, the Bolshevik leader, called it "an enormous defeat" for his forces. In the following months, several more Polish follow-up victories saved Poland's independence and led to a peace treaty with Soviet Russia and Soviet Ukraine later that year, securing the Polish state's eastern frontiers until 1939.

The British diplomat Edgar Vincent regards this event as one of the most important battles in history on his expanded list of most decisive battles, since the Polish victory over the Soviets stopped the spread of communism to Europe.

The British military historian and general J. F. C. Fuller ranks the battle of Warsaw in 1920, and the Polish victory in the war, as one of the most decisive victories in history since it prevented Soviet influence from spreading to the borders of Germany, Hungary and Romania at a critical stage in these countries.

It was also big personal defeat for young Joseph Stalin

Permission for construction of another tower was given. It's not known when construction will start.

164m

Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa. One of the biggest theatres in the world. Biggest scene called "Scena Moniuszki" could fit whole famous Milan's La Scala inside.
