Someone recently suggested a subway under that street, but when I saw it, I noticed the wide median. This could either work as light rail and then tunnel downtown or a subway all the way. The only concern about the route is the proximity to the Harbor Transitway. Has a line on this route been discussed before?

Vermont is a heavy congested Blvd from Hollywood to the South Bay. Some parts are wide enough and some aren't like in Korea town/Mid City area. A subway would most likely be a option, but I really don't see it happening for quite a long, long while. That's the reason they've added Rapid & Local Slinky buses on the corridor. To handle the heavy transit dependent Boulevard form point A to B.

Yes it's been talked about before in many "dream" plans and also at length on the Transit Coalition website. Damien's map also has a Vermont Line.
