The majestic looking Vidhan Soudha located in Bangalore is a marvel of neo-Dravidian architecture and one of the most imposing building in Bangalore.

It houses the State Legislature, and is the largest Secretariat in India.
The building project was started in 1952 and was completed in four years. Five thousand labourers, 1500 chisellers, masons and wood carvers were employed to bring the building to its present form.

Built entirely from Bangalore granite in the Dravidian style, it has floral motifs on stone carvings drawn from the celebrated temple craft of South India.

Nice, very huge indeed.. 10 .

Bangalore has "the best" state assembly building in India or Indian Subcontinent. Great work of art.
hmm... I see a Pakistani voted "3 or less"

how petty.

Anyway, the Vidhan Soudha is one of my most favorite modern buildings in India.

The building echoes very well the traditional indian architecture.

10/10. This is incredible architecture for a State assembly. Overwhelming superiority even to the national assemblies of other Indian Subcontinent countries. Democracy at its creative best.
