Causeway Bay and Wanchai before the harbour reclaimation:

Causeway Bay is the early years:

Central and Western District:

Happy Valley Race Course

Harbour Pier

Colonial buildings along the harbour

Queen's Road

Des Voeux Road

Chater Road

The Mid-Levels

Trams still in service today

The Hong Kong Cricket and Parade Grounds

Statue Square

Other Buildings of Note

It's a sin that this one is gone

The Western District: Hong Kong's Chinatown

The Kowloon-Canton Railway Terminal building

Kowloon Walled City

^^

The book is called, " Hong Kong Then and Now", not really much of the "now" part because it was published in 1982.

^^ What is that, and why the feck was it knocked out?
The old Hong Kong Club building located on Jackson Road and Chater Road across from the LegCo in Central. It was taken down in the early 80's and replaced with the one you see there now. The ideology back then was old had to go for the new to come. Cultural and heritage were nothing, especially it was in Central.

Thanks for sharing. It's a shame that most of these are gone.
Besides LegCo and Pedder Building, there is really no other colonial buildings was built in that architecture left. If there were one sitting around today, it would be so cool. Too bad.
