Never heard of it...... are you sure this would be in Melbourne? ...... there is the 'Vision' building on the drawing boards in Brisbane!! - not 600m tall though :)
heres the ling to nullify any doubts. http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=216166
"cough cough"... hmmm =S
^What the?
That is indeed the picture. It was to have airship mooring masts and all sorts of cool stuff ;) Yet another long-abandoned Melbourne project.
never mind this hunk of junk - I wish MC was that tall (the height it was originally to be)!
yes, i added this one to melb page a while back. back in 1990 i was at a convention in Darling Harbour and this was on display in a booth. it would of been WTB if it went ahead, but way out i think? maybe suit Dubai.lol
Yeah, I'm glad it didn't go ahead.... from the render it always appeared to be made from a mismatched mechano set...

Stu
if thats it then that is GAY.

650+ is right. Having already started construction, it will be 705m/2312ft @ 160-storeys and anticipated completion is sometime in 2008. BTW It's actual name is Burj Dubai and will be a mixed use tower ie retail, offices and apartments.

In regard to The South Pacific Centre, it was conceived by Bates Smart (of The Melburnian Apartments fame).

BTW The South Pacific Centre is included in a hardcover book titled Bates Smart: 150 Years of Australian Architecture, published in 2004 by Thames & Hudson. ISBN 0500500142, RRP: $AUD95.00...

Please explain....
Its way to big, but besides that I actually like it. Its like a cross between world tower and capita center (both in shitney).

I think he means it's homosexual? ;)
 indeed
Gee, you're all more interested in the gay-non issue rather than what I thought was a relatively informative post that I made. What the ****!?! :|

I didn't even get a reply simply out of courtesy.

...and Dan with his "Shitney" :|

Nice reply. Thanks. ;)

Seriously though, don't think your posts go unread, at least not by me, I try to read all posts.

Don't take it 'personally' if people don't reply... sometimes there is just nothing to add. ;)
