Thanks, I know it isn't the highest tower in the world, but I like it. The smooth black walls, the roof. I wouldn't have minded if it had been 3 or 6 floors higher, but how realistic is that in a town of 90.000 people?

At this moment, the Vitens building is still the highest building in the area (500 meter radius or so), that is until this one (WTC Expo hotel and conference rooms and more, height about 50m, 13 fl.) is ready. Is being build on the other side of the canal on the last photo of the first post.

It's a nice midrise. Should be higher.

9/10 for the architecture
7/10 voor its size.

That makes 8/10.

Just a photo update, thanks to SSC member Ramses:

Taken from the Stephenson Bridge, with the Vitens building in the middle, the Nieuwlandstate building on the right (home to a Dutch Telecom company) and the currently being under construction WTC 4-star hotel/restaurant/conference rooms (height 50m when finished) to the left in the back with the Frisian Chamber of Commerce in front.

Nice, but in international perpective it is not that special. It fits very well in the skyline of Leeuwarden. The Achmeatower, the Averotower, Vitens, and the new WTC, all black towers which all seem to belong to eachother. Our skyline is still improving!
