^yeah we all want taller bldgs. this was limited due to sun plane down to Hyde park. Thus the slopped roof. its gone to max height. in sydney we try to protect what parklands we have.

sydney tower doesnt have much shadow impact on hyde park. its 6m pole is a great way to have minimal impact.

Very nice tower, but I reckon it'd look better on it's own (and a bit taller) rather than right next to Centrepoint.

Pitt St Mall is a great address for any retailer and Westfield will capitalise on it's location. This combined with the Mid City Centre redevelopment will be a big boost to CBD retailing.

And leave Sydney Tower alone. 30 years later and it's still a great structure. Where would Sydney's skyline be without it?

Yeah Ive started to go off Sydney Tower. Maybe time for demolishment
Leave our tower alone! :) Another reason why this development is not any higher is because of the tower. Any higher and it would have taken some stature away from sydney tower, and that's what many people were battling against when they tried to stop even this building from being approved.

Looks cool. That Westfield really needed at touch up. It looks about 30 years old! But I did get some great jeans there though.....

Love that roof! The concern for sunlight in the parks may have had a detrimental impact on height, but it' sure led to some interesting designs.

Re: Centrepoint, I really like it, but they need to clean it up a bit. It's got so many bits and pieces coming off it, and that extra mystery cable that's seperate from the others, that it looks a bit of a dog's breakfast.

That looks sweet and it will certainly imrpove the frontage on castlereagh! As for the tower...its an icon and should stay, although it would look better in a different colour...

Looks awesome.
This will be a real asset to Sydney in terms of quality architecture and quality retail/commercial space.
150 metres is fine with me !!
This is the best possible MLC -Sydney tower gap filler you can get.
In addition you've got Mid City Centre 150m tower just behind it AND the 188m John Boyd just to the side - so this will have a much bigger effect on the skyline that people might think !!!!!!!!
