we've barely touched 80, it has rained a ton, and most mornings are in the 50s still. this is getting out of hand.

i can deal with the cool mornings and the gray overcast skies, but holy sweet flying ****, is it ever gonna stop raining?
It is awful, hate it! Especially today was pretty shitty.
It's not a Chicago thing.

We're dealing with the same crap here in the northeast
This weather will probably disqualify Chicago for the 2016 Olympics!

I've been LOVING the weather. I could live the happiest life ever in Chicago if these 60s & 70s would continue always & forever. It's been perfect for running along the lakefront. I hate hate hate hate hate 80s and warmer. I don't enjoy walking around Chicago (let alone running) when the weather is so warm... it makes me sweaty and zaps me of any energy. I just want to go home and sit in air conditioning all day long. Hell, Sunday was in the upper 70s and I was already feeling somewhat miserable because of the strong sunshine while I was out & about at the street festival in Andersonville, though shade along the west side of Clark Street made things better.

I loathe winter, but I also don't care for typical mid summer temps either. It might be in the upper 80s and quite humid on Friday. :( Send me to San Francisco or Seattle when Chicago's weather is warmer than 80 please.

ha I totally disagree. I HATE running along the cool lakefront. while I dont care for 90s and humid.... for running, 80s and sunny is exactly what I want.

I agree with Steely Dan, I wouldn't mind this mild weather nearly as much if it would just stop raining. I think we've gotten more than enough of it...
Summer is set to arrive with 90's next week. Albeit 3 weeks late  Maybe it will last 3 weeks longer into fall.

Wettest year for Chicago far on record at Midway Airport (since 1928)

Sunday is the first day of summer. So it sounds like next week's heat will be right on time...

And it's not just the northern cities. Here in West LA, we have yet to break 80 this year...

NEXT week!?! It's here now, especially away from the lake. Heat index in Elgin is 96 (86 degrees with 71% humidity.) Should make for a dangerous beer festival tonight.
I was miserable today.

No way, not for me. 60s and 70s during the day means 50s and even 40s during the night, this is awful. I like mid to high 80s during the day and then at night it becomes a comfortable 70 degrees...perfect for hanging out outside.

I'm fine with the heat and sun (not too high) but I prefer cooler temperatures. The thing I loathe over anything else weather-related is humidity. When I start sweating walking the 20 feet out my front door to my car, there's something seriously wrong.

Yeah you are right, but normally we should have seen much warmer weather the first couple weeks of June....

Today was nice 87F at O'Hare and 88F at Midway airport a bit warmer in the western and southern suburbs:D

Today is how it should always be in the summer. It's 84 at O'Hare, but 74 in East Lakeview where I live. God bless the lake breeze.

I hope there's a lake breeze next weekend for the Pride parade.
