Just wondering, if you were being forcefully deported from Canada and HAD to move south of the border, which Ameican city would you choose to move to?

TB,

I'm actually very curious which city would be the destination of choice. My guess it'd be between NYC, Boston and Seattle. Hope no silly Americans cast a vote in this thread. I myself managed to resist the urge. I hope I can be an example to other Yankees.

an Aussie vote should not sway things too much...

So basically, what is your favourite American city? Then New York or Chicago.
No not necessarily. If you had to, you might move to a city where you had friends or family, or a good job connection. I really meant this poll to be practical.

Myself,if I {had to}move to Canada, I'd choose Calgary. Not because that's my favorite city, it's just where I have some connections.... I would prefer Toronto or Vancouver....but realistically, I'd go for Calgary (a very agreeable city of course)

That's why Buffalo is in the poll and Honolulu is not.

Of course Honolulu would be a more popular choice for many, but maybe Buffalo might be a realistic option for many more.

Either way, my cities of choice wouldn't really change, except that I'd lean more towards Chicago simply for the money issue - I'd rather live in a nice area of Chicago than somewhere shitty in NY.

what does it have to do with anything, IMO I feel the vibe in NYC feels alot like in MTL.

IF I had to move to the US, it would be NYC.

I didn't say Montreal needs to be like NYC.

Montreal is alot more like Boston + Philadelphia than NYC.
