Lol,

Rubbish. The dude has been rejected by Americans as the cold war ended, they no longer needed him, he was forced to accept multiparty system bh Americans.

Once thing that he said that was true.....there're no opposition. People only become opposion only after they loose a position in the government....lol which is so true.. Lol
What where Mobutu's achievements?

I can think of, Inga 1, Inga 2, Maluku Steel Plant, Inga 1000km+ Transmission Line from west-to Katanga, Territorial integrity up until mid 90s, regional powerhouse, established a sense of statehood in a fragile new nation.

Other than that, the negatives pretty much outweigh the positives(heavily), even the success stories like Ingas and the plant turned into white elephants due to lack of proper management. The guy led the country to ruin but what did the fool actually get right by everyone's analysis?

What Mobutu Did Right article
Sixteen years after he fled the country, Mobutu Sese Seko is still being held responsible for the shortcomings of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Here's why that view is overly simplistic.
preme i wonder what happened to you ....you faded from the oasis football thread just like arsenal faded away from leading the epl....
Ya man!:lol: What happened to you bro? You faded!
naijaswag is just upset cause i beat his team in a cold way in the oasis league

Not sure what point you are trying to make here?
I assumed the subject was Mobutu's achievements, right or wrong ?

That those "projects" were build is an intangible fact, that they were (at any stage) operational, productive and invaluable state assets is a big no.
Can we therefore speak of achievements ?

You are not saying anything that is new as I qualified that already within the same quote above
even the success stories like Ingas and the plant turned into white elephants due to lack of proper management
and elsewhere
As for the Electricity issue, that's another discussion altogether but also very similar. Inga 1 and 2 have always operated at below capacity after being built with the same good intentions as the steel plant but with a lack of foresight, management and expertise to actually make it work as intended.
