In wich country in de MENA region would you choose to live in, when you're own country is in war and you cannot stay.

- where you are from?
- wich country do you choose? (only MENA)
- Why do you choose that country?

hint: open this thread again and make the "wich country do you choose" part an open poll ;)
Don't know how, but doesn't matter
Don't know how, but doesn't matter
first decide how many poll options you want, then hit the "new thread button" and create your thread as you would create any other thread. but before hitting post new thread scroll down and click the box where it says "Yes, post a poll with this thread" and below that put in the number of poll options you want. Then after posting new thread the poll page opens, there fill in the poll options, if you don't want the poll to have an expiry date put in zero at the expiration date option, disable multiple choice, and enable the public poll option. And don't forget to put in the poll question.

I don't understand the question. If it's easier, maybe you could write your question in French or Arabic and then enter your question into Google Translate and copy the English translation here.
^^

he's basically asking that if you were to become a refugee due to war in your country which other MENA country would you take refuge in.

and for the questions:

- where you are from?
- which country do you choose? (only MENA)
- Why do you choose that country?

for example:

-Turkey
-Cyprus (Turkish part preferable but if not Greek part will do as well)
-Closest thing to Turkey in MENA and I'm part Turkish Cypriot myself

- I'm from England but I'm Iranian/Chinese.
- Cyprus
- It's nice. I was gonna pick somewhere like UAE but the weather is really bad and the country is too fake and artificial for me. Cyprus is a more 'real' country, and the people are nice too. It's wealthy and stable, no bombings or anything. I think it is a happier place too.

- Saudi Arabia

- United Arab Emirates (Dubai or Sharjah or Abu Dhabi - in that order)

- First of all, I would definitely choose somewhere in the GCC due to obvious reasons. I chose the UAE in particular due to two main reasons:
  • The country is more open towards other GCC nationals or foreigners in general, the rest of the region is okay but the populations there are more homogeneous and I view their local populations as being less acceptive of others than those of the UAE.
  • Education there is one of the best in the region and work opportunities are also higher than the other GCC states and so are the salaries (except for Qatar maybe; which would be my second choice btw).

The country also hosts the second largest Saudi community abroad (after the US). Other minor reasons include: it's more fun (I obviously like skyscrapers and it also has an active musical and clubbing scene), more developed, more cosmopolitan, etc.

I am from: Israel.
Country I'd choose: Cyprus (Greek part).

Why Greek Cyprus: Because I could probably live like a normal human being there.

Ok... My family are Iranian, I was born in England and I have lived most of my life in the UK...

If I would have to relocate to the Middle East other than Iran; I'd live in Israel.

Or from orgasma with a Lebanese woman...if you're feeling heterosexual that day. ;) :tongue2:
Cyprus is not really MENA..is it? Especially not the Greek part.

The one time I visited Turkey, I had a very unsettling experience. And now with what's happening with Erdogan and the AKP, it's not very reassuring.

There's a lot of Turkish Cypriots in North London (where I'm from). I find them quite rough lol. I have no idea if that's one of the differences :S I heard Turkish Cypriots are less religious though, dunno if that is true.

From Lebanon..

Would choose Cyprus if I am still single, young and working because of its Mediterranean culture and relaxed atmosphere, and also because there are lebs there already hahah
But, if I am married and have children I would also think Bahrain. The country is so well put together and is a great place for raising children.
