A wooden bicycle is a bicycle constructed either mostly, or entirely from wood. Wood was the material used in the earliest bicycles, and is being rediscovered by modern builders. The wood can be either solid or laminate.

They look nice but I think i'll stick with aluminum, titanium or carbon fiber.

Well, I think that wooden bicycles are somthing to keep in your collection, to ride for short time at important events, but nothing more...I don't belive a daily usage is desirable...

This website has prictures of some very interesting wooden bikes. They were designed and built by a student of a carpentry school who is a son of a professional carpenter.

In general it will way much more than a comparable modern bike. It will be harder to accelerate and to go up hill, because of the extra mass. It is a nice fashion statement for some hipster somewhere, but it isn't as easy as modern aluminium bikes.
