The World Entrepreneur Of The Year was won last night. The ceremony was held in Monte Carlo and won by Guy Laliberté, Founder and CEO of Canada's Cirque du Soleil. Congratulation to him. This him on the left with a Canadian dignitary.

Unfortunately the Aussies did not win but I cannot not mention them. Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar are joint managing directors of Atlassian Software. Here they are below accepting the award for being the Aust EOTY.

A software company who have client such as NASA, World Bank and 6800 other very large corporations, started not long after they finished Uni. They won Young Entrepreneur of the Year and were the first in the young category to win the overall prize in 2006. Well done to them anyway.

Here are some websites to review.

That Canadian dignitary is one scary mofo!
I agree it looks like someone gave him a pill and later a hefty shot of botox ... thereby freezing an incredibly manic look on his face. They are both scaring me. I'd not have coped if i had been at the event, he looks like he is about ready to massacre a few thousand people with that crazed expression.

Sorry. They do look scary. But Cirque du Soleil is a pretty scary event even if spectacular.
