A 200 story 4000 foot skyscraper broke ground today in suburban Waco. The building will feature 70 floors of condos, 70 floors of hotel, 50 floors of office, and 10 floors of retail. The building's footprint is as large as four football fields, and will take approximately 72 months to complete. Although no hotel has signed on yet, no condos pre-leased, or no retail on board, the developer believes the 6 year construction timeframe will give plenty of time to deal with that later. "I believe the Waco market is mature enough to handle a truly world-class project such as this, and as the excitement grows, we will have this totally leased by the grand-opening!" said the developer. The building is expected to cost upwards of $5 billion to complete.
