Discovered this jewel of a coastal town while on holidays recently. A long way from any real skyscrapers, but its got some interesting low rise architecture, scenery and other tall structures.
Yamba, northern New South Wales, population 7000, about 700km north of Sydney, 300km south of Brisbane, at the mouth of the Clarence River.
Maximum height limit is generally 12m on the "hill", and just 2 storeys for the rest of town. Definitely preserves the coastal village atmosphere.
