Anyways, here is an assortment of recently completed projects by VMD Promet which specialise in commercial and residential building construction. They have recently finished amongst many other things a new 9 level office building which Long Foot really likes .......

Cool article. There's mention of some buildings "neboderi" which I'm not familiar with, but I gather they are residential highrises.

I actually prefer "Richterovi Neboderi" or "Richter's Skyscrapers" over their common nickname for "The Rockets" cluster of towers in Zagreb.

Sincity, I know that hardly anybody likes these 'Rockets' including me too, but when you take a better look at them, they have a great potentional to be turned into great looking buildings, I dont think it's gonna ever happen though or not any time soon. I am just being inspired by some great work that was done on a hotel building in Osijek.

I've seen Richter's (Rakete) cluster up front and I admit the design is unusual but interesting. It just needs a spruce up, give it a uniform look.

I know ZCC put efforts into facade rejuvenation in the Habsburg districts, do you know if they also apply the same priciple to more recent residential complexes like the Rakete. Do they encourage the upkeep of these kind of buildings or are they left to fall by the wayside?

BTW - I like the revamped Hotel Osijek shown above. :yes: Its previous "Brutalist" appearance was somewhat more than ugly.

I noticed that we now have a "Mr Chen's Chinese Restaurant" located in the new VMD building. I love that mirrored passageway through the building's centre.
