What ranking did Baghdad get BEFORE the war? For it was always Brazzaville and Kinshasa as well as Kabul that had the last rank... :(
Well done Zurich.

I defeanately need to visit one day, see what they're doing right over there.
At the moment there is a big construction boom over here, including several highrises (highest, the Maag or Prime Tower will become the tallest in the country) ;)
No wonder Tina Turner moved in to Zurich!
What kind of government does Switzerland have?

Also, very well done to New Zealand.

Auckland and Wellington seem to be climbing the list.

well for a country like switzerland the construction boom is really large...but compared to any other places it's not worth mentioning.
It may top this list, but I know where I'd rather live...

Its always going to be small to medium sized cities that top these surveys; truly global cities (the places that people actually clamour to live in) have their drawbacks through their popularity (crime, pollution, congestion, etc) which mark them down.

You can't quantify dynamism or 'buzz'.

the government of switzerland consists of four big parties: social democrats (SP), christian democrats (CVP), liberal democrats (FDP) and the right wing "swiss people's party".

Which one is in power?
I'm surprised at all the German cities near the top, they have quite a few.
