As many of you are aware, for the last two months I have been making local road trip movies. After I made a couple I started to get requests from

ex-pat sheffielders who wanted to see what their old stomping grounds were like in 2007.
So here is a roundup of my list from 2007.

1) Sheffield inner ringroad ( newly completed section )

3) Sheffield outer ring road ( dialogue not complete )
I started this project before I had some I.T. problems, so I haven't yet completed the dialogue track. However, the outer ring road is a

fascinating story.

5) London Road to Hutcliffe wood
This one is a bit of fun, I hope you find it amusing.

7) Around Norton
This one was a request from a friend in Austrailia, who grea up around woodseats, Norton, Gleadless and wanted to see what the area looked

nowadays.

Thanks for your comments.

And happy new year

Yes, that would be worth doing, but later in the year. At the moment the sun is so low that, you have to try and drive away from it or you get the sun right in the lens, which is not good. Therefore going around the ringroad would have to be either on a murky day with no sun, or later in the year when the sun is in the sky, instead of on the horizon.

New video today.

I was asked to make one from West Bar to the Mayfield Valley via Broomhill

I started a bit earlier and fishished later right out past Burbage at Fiddler's Elbow in the derbyshire countryside.

I have adjusted my editing style with this one, where instead of cutting out waits at junctions, I speed them up several times. I even push a car out of the way in the first 2 minutes, which I hope you will all find funny.

:)

Looking forward to the DSA film Muddy. Have you decided on the best route yet?
Probably J3 via Lakeside.
Only problem is, due to how low the sun is in the middle of winter, the film would be basically spoiled by the sun directly into the lens for most of the journey.
I am going to have to wait a few months for the sun to be higher up in the sky, otherwise the film would be utterly shite.

Got a bit dizzy from the roundabout route in town Muddy.
See what you mean about the low sun.
Perhaps the routes sould be into Sheffield, Not showing People the way out

I like the Abbey Lane - City Centre, though the route looked horribly familiar (I used to drive back daily from Chesterfield when I was there on placement). Doesn't Eccy Road give a wonderful view of the Hallam Towers?

And Velocity Tower looks stunning, looming up and you round the corner near Wards, and with the sunlight glinting off it just as it passed out of shot.

I've just completed the 3rd one.
This is the last one for this weekend.

From Gleadless Townend down to Lowfields.

What is great about this one is it is a drop from a great height down to the sheaf valley, where you get superb views down to the town with all the cranes and construction.

Why's it 2 years old Muddy ?, have you got a time machine ?

P.S Chech the credits.

Kinda went the long way around through Walkley there Muddy!

I've literally walked all of that route (in various stages) hundreds of times! I used to live in Crookes until last September, and often go back to see mates in the Punchbowl or Cobden View Arms

For no apparent reason I received a copy of The Sheffield Gazzette through my letterbox today. Never had it before.

Very interesting article on page 15 though. About some nutter with a car and a camera

Guilty as charged!

They used one of the other pics for that one, with Velocity Tower in the Background !
