Awesome thread. I've been quite curious as to how the interior of the buses look. It's very cool that they would have onboard WiFi and the ticket dispensing shelters are very nice. . Definitely a step in the right direction for surburbia.

Alameda County in California also has these new Van Hool buses. They're awesome and a fresh addition to the bland North American designs. I live in the Silicon Valley and whenever I visit people in Alameda county I swear I would ride the bus if they had them where I live

Ok one of Toronto's suburbs has invested in a new bus network. When I say very Euro I am talking about the buses themselves. Anyway I dont feel like giving to much backround info so this York Region, north of Toronto. I guess I should mention this is the first step to eventually getting light rail also. Anyway take a trip on VIVA.

Pics by Wyliepoon, commentary isnt mine either.

Various views of the buses on the Yonge Street route.
Note the lack of passengers in some pics is due to us taking pics at the last stop on the line. Buses where actually full, up till the
end of the line.

Yes Bernard Ave Terminal is located in a strip mall. You can take the bus to the power centre. Hows that for smart growth.
